We have been rescuing reptiles since 2003 when we got a call from a pet store asking if we would be willing to take a spiny armadillo lizard and a plated lizard off of his hands. We agreed and that was our beginning. We began concentrating on Beardies primarily, since that was our specialty, being breeders at that time, but any call for any non-native species, we're willing to take it in, as long as it does not violate state law or local ordinance.

As stated above, we started out as Beardie breeders. As such, we saw what bad genetics can do to a breeding colony. We've got several representatives of this as permanent residents. We did our research, but we received bad information from one of the persons that we dealt with. We learned from our mistakes and got out of breeding until we were better equipped to purchase much cleaner bloodlines. We are now focused solely on the rescue side of the house.
